Eccentric Flat-Screen Pre-Cleaning at Product Intake
ADDAMS Eccentric Pre-Cleaner Seed Separators are evaluated for the first screening stage in grain and seed intake lines. Eccentric screen movement helps present the feed to selected perforations so suitable oversize and undersize material can be separated. Any air-separation stage must be specified for the selected model and incoming light impurities.
Match the Cleaner to the Intake Duty
Required capacity should be stated for the crop, moisture and actual contamination level. Samples should represent straw, coarse debris, fine material and sound grain present in the incoming lot. Trials should measure rejected fractions, remaining impurities and sound product lost with the rejects.
Screen selection, feeding distribution and outlet arrangements affect the result. Pre-cleaning prepares material for later operations; it does not establish final seed purity or storage suitability on its own. Cleaning access, screen changes and aspiration connections should be included in the plant layout.
Compare Pre-Cleaner Arrangements
Compare the oscillating pre-cleaner, vibrotary pre-cleaner and rotary drum pre-cleaner according to the feed and separation target. Subsequent fine cleaning can be assessed using a fine seed cleaner. Where drying is required, consider the recirculating batch grain dryer as part of the complete process plan.
