Size Classification with the Optimum 220 Screen Grader
The ADDAMS Optimum 220 Series Screen Grader is evaluated for separating suitable grain and seed into size fractions. Its eccentric screen movement presents material to selected perforations. Screen grading uses dimensional differences; it should not be described as density separation or as a guarantee that every damaged seed will be removed.
Choose the Required Product Fractions
Define the size limits and acceptable overlap for each fraction. Representative samples should be checked for crop dimensions, moisture, broken material and unwanted seeds. Trial evaluation should measure fraction purity, sound-product recovery, oversize, undersize and the capacity achieved at those settings.
Screen openings, feed distribution, outlet arrangement and cleaning access affect the proposed configuration. Screen area, adjustment options and materials must be confirmed for the selected model. Grading does not establish seed certification or final purity without the relevant measurements and other required processing steps.

Compare vibrotary screen graders and cylindrical screen graders through the same sample and target fractions. Upstream preparation may use a fine seed cleaner. Length-based impurities can be assessed with an indented cylinder separator, while density differences may call for a gravity separator.
