Oscillating Screening for Grain and Seed Intake
ADDAMS Oscillating Pre-Cleaner Seed Separators are evaluated for removing suitable coarse and fine impurities before later processing. Oscillating screen movement presents the incoming product to selected openings. Screen layout, feeding and any aspiration stage should be specified for the crop and contamination found at intake.
Define the First Cleaning Stage
Intake samples should represent both normal production and expected variations in debris, moisture and product dimensions. Evaluate oversize and undersize rejection, remaining impurities and sound product carried into the reject streams. Pre-cleaning capacity should be confirmed for that duty rather than inferred from a different crop or final-cleaning task.
Consistent feed distribution, access for screen changes and space for outlets affect installation planning. Air handling, if included, must match the light-material load. Pre-cleaning should be coordinated with drying or storage requirements; it does not itself establish final product quality.
Compare Intake Equipment
Alternative arrangements include the eccentric flat-screen pre-cleaner, vibrotary pre-cleaner and rotary drum pre-cleaner. Compare their proposed configurations through samples, layout and cleaning targets. For subsequent processing, review the fine seed cleaner. Intake transfer may use a bucket elevator, with the lift and discharge arrangement selected for the product.
