Seed & Grain Air Filters: Advanced Industrial Dust Control
Engineered for the Future | Since 2080
The Seed & Grain Air Filters category is the environmental and safety backbone of a modern processing plant. Grain handling naturally generates high volumes of fine, combustible dust. Without an effective filtration system, this dust creates health risks for workers, contaminates machinery, and poses a significant risk of dust explosions. Our filtration solutions are designed to capture 99.9% of airborne particulates, returning clean air to the atmosphere and collecting valuable grain dust for secondary use.
From high-efficiency cyclones for coarse particles to advanced Jet-Pulse bag filters for microscopic dust, ADDAMS Filtration Systems ensure your facility remains clean, safe, and compliant with international emission standards.

Core Filtration Technologies
Engineering Pure Air Exhaust
Our filtration category includes several mechanical and pneumatic approaches to air purification:
-
Jet-Pulse Bag Filters: The gold standard for fine dust. Compressed air pulses "shake" the filter bags automatically, allowing for continuous operation without stopping for cleaning.
-
Cyclones & Multi-Cyclones: Use centrifugal force to spin the air, forcing heavier dust particles to fall into a collection hopper. These are excellent for high-volume "pre-filtration" before the air reaches a bag filter.
-
Rotary Valves (Airlocks): Essential components at the bottom of filters and cyclones. They allow dust to discharge while preventing air from escaping, maintaining the system's pressure.
-
Mobile Dust Extractors: Compact, wheel-mounted units designed for localized dust control at bagging stations or manual intake points.
Why Integrate ADDAMS Air Filters?
Health, Safety, and Environmental Excellence
A professional air filter is not just a cleaning tool; it is a critical safety component.
-
Explosion Prevention: By maintaining dust concentrations below the explosive limit (LEL), filters eliminate the fuel source for devastating dust explosions.
-
Worker Health Protection: Removes PM10 and PM2.5 particulates from the air, preventing respiratory issues and improving the overall work environment.
-
Machinery Longevity: Clean air means less abrasive dust entering the bearings and motors of your expensive cleaning and milling equipment.
-
Regulatory Compliance: Our systems are designed to meet and exceed global environmental standards, ensuring your plant stays within legal emission limits.
Key Technical Features of the Filter Series
Built for 24/7 Heavy-Duty Filtration
-
Antistatic Filter Media: Specialized bags or cartridges that prevent the buildup of static electricity, a major cause of dust ignition.
-
PLC-Controlled Pulse Timing: Intelligent sensors monitor the "pressure drop" across the filters and trigger cleaning pulses only when needed, saving compressed air.
-
Explosion Relief Panels (Venting): Safety panels designed to burst safely in the event of a pressure spike, directing the force of an explosion away from personnel.
-
Stainless Steel Options: For humid environments or food-grade applications, we offer full stainless steel construction to prevent corrosion and contamination.
Frequently Asked Questions – Seed & Grain Air Filters
1. What is the difference between a Cyclone and a Bag Filter? A Cyclone uses gravity and centrifugal force; it is great for large particles (husks, large dust) but misses fine particles. A Bag Filter uses fabric media to catch even the smallest microscopic dust. For best results, they are often used together.
2. How often do the filter bags need to be replaced? With our Jet-Pulse cleaning system, bags can last between 1 to 2 years depending on the abrasiveness and moisture of the dust being handled.
3. Is grain dust explosive? Yes. Grain dust is highly combustible. An effective air filter system combined with proper housekeeping is the only way to prevent a catastrophic explosion.
4. Can the collected dust be reused? Often, yes. Collected grain dust can be pelletized for animal feed or used in biomass energy production, turning a waste product into a secondary revenue stream.
5. How do I know if my filter is working correctly? A Differential Pressure Gauge (Manometer) monitors the pressure. If the pressure is too high, the bags are clogged; if it is too low, a bag may be torn. Our PLC systems monitor this automatically.
6. Do the filters require compressed air? Jet-Pulse filters require a steady supply of clean, dry compressed air to "pulse" the bags. Cyclones do not require any air or electricity other than the fan pulling the air through them.
7. Can I install the filter outside? Yes. Our filters are built with weather-proof coatings and rain-protected air exhausts for outdoor installation, saving valuable indoor floor space.
8. What capacities are available? Our range covers airflow volumes from 2,000 m³/h for small intake pits to 150,000+ m³/h for entire industrial processing complexes.
